Londýn 18. februára (TASR) - Britská skupina Oasis získala prvé dve miesta v prieskume o najlepší britský album za posledných 50 rokov. Podarilo sa jej tak poraziť aj hudobné legendy typu Beatles, Rolling Stones a Pink Floyd.
Oasis pôvodom z Manchestra zvíťazili svojím debutovým albumom Definitely Maybe v prieskume, ktorý zorganizoval časopisu Q, na druhom mieste skončil ich nasledujúci album z roku 1995 (What's The Story) Morning Glory?.
V rebríčku zabodovalo aj päť kolekcií legendárnych Beatles - Revolver, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road a The White Album.
The Rolling Stones sa umiestnili v prvej 50-ke dvoma albumami Exile on Main Street (48) a Let It Bleed (50).
Jeden z najpredávanejších albumov všetkých čias Dark Side of the Moon kapely Pink Floyd sa zaradil na deviate miesto v rebríčku.
"Je viac než jasné, že Oasis sú najpopulárnejšou skupinou Británie," konštatoval editor magazínu Q Paul Rees.
